How to Create Your First Event

A detailed, step-by-step guide to listing your first Garba event on the platform.

Creating an Event: A Step-by-Step Guide

Welcome! This guide will walk you through creating a new event on NavratriGarba.com.

Step 1: Organizer Onboarding

Before you can create an event, you must be a registered Organizer. If you haven't done so, you can start the process from your user profile menu. This involves providing key details about your organization and your bank account for future payouts.

Step 2: Start from Your Dashboard

Once you're an organizer, navigate to your dashboard and click the "Create New Event" button. This will launch our guided, multi-step creation process.

Step 3: Choose Your Service Type

  • Free Navratri Event: Select this if you are not selling tickets and only want to manage free registrations. The platform fee is 0%.
  • Exclusive Navratri Event: Choose this if you plan to sell tickets only on NavratriGarba.com. This gives you our lowest platform fee of 3.3% + GST.
  • Non-Exclusive Navratri Event: Select this if you will be selling tickets on our platform and other platforms. The fee for this flexibility is 9% + GST.
  • Step 4: Event Type & Category

  • Event Type: Tell us if it's a Garba Event, Garba Classes, or something else. This helps us categorize your event correctly.
  • Category Tags: Add up to 3 descriptive tags (e.g., "Traditional Garba", "Techno Garba", "Family Friendly"). These tags help attendees find your event in searches.
  • Step 5: Core Details & Media

    This is where you build your event's identity.

  • Event Name: A clear and attractive name for your event.
  • Event URL (Slug): A unique, web-friendly name for your event page link. A good slug is automatically generated from your event name, but you can customize it.
  • Poster & Reel: A high-quality poster is required and is the main image for your event. An optional video reel can make your page more dynamic.
  • Location: The full address of your venue.
  • Step 6: Dates, Times & Tickets

    This is the most critical part for your attendees.

  • Date & Time Slots: You must add at least one date slot. You can add multiple slots for multi-day events. Use our "Quick Add" feature for standard Navratri dates!
  • Tickets: For each date slot (or group of slots), you can add multiple ticket types (e.g., "Early Bird", "VIP"). Define the price, quantity, and other details for each.

  • Step 7: Final Details

  • Description & T&Cs: Write a detailed description of your event. Standard Terms & Conditions are provided, but you can customize them.
  • Spotify Playlist: Add a link to a Spotify playlist to share your event's vibe.
  • FAQs: Proactively answer common questions your attendees might have.
  • Step 8: Save and Submit

    Your event is saved as a Draft automatically. You can leave and come back to it at any time from your dashboard. When you're ready, click "Submit for Verification." Our team will review it, and you'll be notified upon approval!
